Micro-blogging has made me realize that it's not always the length of the article that matter but rather how fast and effective--regardless how concise it is--I can get across my thoughts on different topics. I also get to receive reactions/feedback in real time if I tap in the right people. And of course, who doesn't appreciate an RT especially if made by influential people such as journalists, celebrities, authors, etc.

Re: Did Twitter, Plurk change your blogging habits?

That is true Azrael. Sharing an item via Twitter or Plurk allows you to get feedback right away on the content you have just posted. Allows you to get loyal readers too.

Re: Did Twitter, Plurk change your blogging habits?

i think it changed my blogging habit
because that everyone in my network reads my plurk/twitter whenever i post a blog link of my update. there i feel that everyone follows me and read every blog post I made, there's an instant readership in microblogs. The blogging powers up because you know that theres a new reader in all of your microblogs contact. And for me..it really replaces the old forums and IMs, as people do discussion via Plurk and Twitter.

Re: Did Twitter, Plurk change your blogging habits?

Micro blogging has changed many things in the area of internet marketing. In the old days, it was just a one-way communication. Marketers were the one controlling the message but today, not anymore. One who wishes to succeed in this area needs to understand the wisdom of the crowd and learn how to be one of them.

Re: Did Twitter, Plurk change your blogging habits?

Good for you Rob! I now also think that a blogger or any Internet marketer for that matter can't claim that they are into social media unless they micro-blog for real/interactively..

Re: Did Twitter, Plurk change your blogging habits?

Microblogging hasn't changed any of my blogging habits. I can still post articles everyday in my 3 blogs and spend around 2 hours a day in Twitter. Sorry, I don't do Plurk =). In a regular person's point-of-view, microblogging might change some habits but for those who have a higher goal, combining both will give you impressive results. I love micrblogging!
